Finite: The Climate of Change

1h 38m Environment, Climate Change, Activism 2022

Activists take to the trees to save a 12,000-year-old forest from the expansion of one of Europe’s biggest coal mines. To save our planet, they will risk their lives.

Robin, Indigo and Clumsy are part of a community of activists who live in self-built treehouses to halt the chainsaws. They form an unlikely alliance with a frustrated community in rural northeast England who have spent 30 years fighting plans for a new coal mine in the beautiful valley next to their homes. With mining about to begin, Julia, June and their neighbours are left with no choice but to occupy the land where their children grew up.

The film is an inspiring view of the world of direct action and the fight against climate breakdown. It reveals a raw, authentic and emotional insight into the battle between frontline communities, activists and fossil fuel corporations.

A 90 min edit for TV is in progress, and a screener is available upon request.
