The Last Marathon
Anton Maillie is an Emmy Award-winning television and film producer, a recovering alcoholic, and the 153rd person to run a marathon on all seven continents. Anton was diagnosed with ALS on Jan 6, 2020, after four years of testing.
The average life span for someone with ALS is four years from the onset of symptoms. We follow Anton, along with his wife and full-time caregiver, Mari, as they battle through Anton’s physical downturn while dedicating their time to advocacy on behalf of the ALS community in hopes of making ALS a livable disease and finding a cure.
